Matt McGill has established himself as one of the country’s premier morning-drive personalities. As host on one of the nation’s only Urban Talk Radio Stations, McGill’s Morning Show is the only locally produced program that targets affluent African-American adults in the third largest broadcast market. He offers substantive conversation mixed with his own brand of observational humor which has made him a fan favorite amongst Chicago’s movers and shakers, including politicians, business and community leaders. The Native Chicagoan attended Santa Monica College, and has been the morning host of WVON since 2009.

Matt also talks about the IRS, AP and Benghazi scandals and the criticism that President Barack Obama has been facing due to these scandals.

7:24 a.m. Matt is joined in studio by Linal Harris, Host of WVON’s Inspirational Perspective & U.S. Cellular Representative. He continues his discussion about the criticism that President Barack Obama has been facing due to the IRS, AP and Benghazi scandals. Matt also takes calls from listeners.

7:36 a.m. Matt is joined on the show by Timothy McNair, First Year Master of Music of Voice and Opera student at Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music. They discuss McNair's refusal to complete a racist homework assignment, and his future as a graduate student at Northwestern University.

7:53 a.m. Matt takes calls from listeners who respond to the story involving Northwestern University graduate student, Timothy McNair, and his refusal to complete a racist homework assignment.

8:36 a.m. Matt plays audio from President Barack Obama's commencement address at Morehouse College. He and Linal discuss experiences that African-Americans students go through. Matt continues to take calls from listeners.

8:53 a.m. Matt talks with Linal Harris about his show "Inspirational Perspective" that broadcasts live on WVON 1690AM on Saturdays at 10:00 p.m. CST. He then finishes calls from listeners and wraps up the show.
