WVON Celebrates Health Awareness Month

May is Health Awareness month at WVON. That means for the entire month, you'll have access to various healthcare professionals who’ll be able to answer your questions and concerns on illnesses and new medical treatments that impact our community. Like Heart Disease, Cancer, Juvenile Obesity, Mental Illness, and many more. We’ll also bring you daily tips on everything from healthy eating to common sense approaches to preventative care.

In our “Blacks in Medicine” segment, we’ll feature some of Chicago ’s top physicians. And we’ll introduce you to several medical miracles, individuals and institutions that are making extraordinary contributions in the field of medicine. At WVON, we really care about your health.
